About GADER's Owner and Engineer, Andy Gardner
After graduating from high school, Andy Allen Gardner, enrolled at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL), now known as the University of Lousiana at Lafayette (ULL)). There Andy studied mechanical engineering while working in the oilfield as an engineering apprentice and draftsman to finance his education. Andy’s experiences in the oilfield while attending USL formed the foundation in his work ethic and hands-on problem solving, bridging the chasim between the classroom and real world. Andy graduated in 1996 with a degree in mechanical engineering.
After finishing school, he continued his career in the oil and gas industry. Andy has spent his years working on multimillion-dollar oilfield related projects throughout the United States as well as the Gulf of Mexico and across the globe. In addition, Andy has worked on many industrial and mechanical projects throughout his career.
Andy’s vast knowledge of mechanical engineering principles are complimented by his extensive expertise in 3D modeling, simulation, analysis, problem solving, technical writing and reverse engineering. In all, Andy has developed a skill set that produces elegant solutions to complex problems.
In 2019, after many years of long seven-day work weeks, Andy decided to take the time to pursue his Professional Engineering License in the state of Louisiana. Andy took the Mechanical Engineering NCEES test in October of 2019. In January of 2020, Andy received a certificate from the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) validating that he had passed the test and was issued license number 44172. That accomplishment was the cornerstone of forming “Gardner Engineering and Resources, LLC (GADER)”.
